The Government should support domestic software product companies in
the same manner that it empowered their IT services counterparts. The
Government should provide certain tax incentives to domestic software
product companies for making them more competitive globally.
The direct and indirect tax benefits provided to software service companies should also be extended to product firms.
Indian software product companies cater largely to the domestic
market and are also drivers of IP creation in the country; there needs
